Ok, what to do with the sub.
Here's my layout so far. I have a Alpine CDA-7873 HU with Infinity components in the front and 6X9's in the back. The Infinity's are running on a MTX Thunder 4244 amp which sounds pretty good. Now I am adding a MTX 6000 12 in. and a MTX Thunder 4250D amp. I read the thing about pointing the subs to the back of the car and stuff like that but what kind of box should I get? Sealed, ported, etc. Second question, how hot will the amps really get? I live in Arizona and summer time heat can get 120 outside so I assume my trunk would be hotter then hell. Will my amps get too hot? Is there any way to really cool them down if they do get too hot?

Hey Cats,
The amps will take it no worries.. as long as you don't run the 4 channel 2ohm it'll take the heat. If you're only running a single 12 I'd go ported for the extra SPL.. for that sub you want a 2.1 cu.ft Enclosure with a single 4" x 9" port.. It'll sound fairly good and bump nicely..Also.. I hop you got the DVC 4 ohm version.. if not your amp will only put 125Wrms
Hope this helps
Cheers
