Recommended Optima Yellow ?
Im looking for a Optima Yellow Battery to power about 1500 watt amp and maybe later about 200 watt amp. Are there any that would fit perfectly or with little modification in a 02 ?

yellow around $120 from the store, but not sure blue is a marine battery. Then they have the race battery, I might try that next time. Only 10 lbs or something and tiny size.

^^ dont post crap like that in here unless it's in the spirit of constructiveness
any group 51 won't be much better than stock battery. full size battery will fit just as well as a group 51. I run the Exide 34XCD in my car and it's a really nice battery, a little cheaper than the yellow top and every bit as good

group 51 IS the model. There's a normal and reversed terminal one tho. I got the wrong one and had to switch my pos and neg connectors.

Here is the red top starter battery. great if you need CCA. This fits, just remove the stock battery casing.

doin it over again i'd take MegaHurtz advice and get a regular size battery (34) - but I do see a difference between my optima yellow 51 and stock. things just seem to run better.

oh yea the stock battery was horrible! I think I might have ruined it tho playing stereo with car off too many times. With the yellow, I can leave the car sitting 2 weeks and it will start up perfect like its only been sitting for a day.

I just dropped a D34 Optima Yellow in my engine bay. No difficult modding needed, just had to:
1) remove the plastic batt tray
2) bend the rod that holds down the battery tie a tiny bit
Then I just bolted the tie back down and now my carputer actually turns off when it's supposed to.
