I have just bought a new 05 Vi Hatch (5 door Australian Spec). The headlights dim significantly when the air con compressor cuts in. Honda Australia are aware of the issue and say it is normal and acceptable. Does the rest of the world have this problem with Civics and if so what mods can I do to fix it.

yea I've done some upgrades (ground wires, voltage regulator, optima battery) and they still dim. Its normal since the alternator is so small.

its normal for me for the civic and the rsx.

i had ground wires and hvs as well and still does the same.
