when i finally had my hu and amp and subs installed and turned them on there was so much alt whine when i started the car and they would pop like crazy. at first i thought it was bc i ran the rcas one the same side of the power wire.
then i realized i forgot to put the antenna in to the the hu. i plugged it in and it sounded perfect. no alt whine or road noise or popping. if u have alt whine i would just make sure ur atenna is plugged in cuz thats all i had to do.

yeah except all those threads just tell you to seperate your RCA's I had altenator whine and it turned out it was my crappy old school amp when I amplified my internal speakers.

Not all altenator whine is this easy to solve

I need a new alt.... I guess im going to have another shop look at it and so far no aftermarket store can either find one or find one for less than 700-1000
and honda wants 560 for a oem one so ill prob go with the 170 amp for 700 they have to take my car for 2 days and build a braket does anyone know a place that sells bolt on's for our cars i have searched and so have the audio stores and we cant find crap
