How do you remove the HU for 05 civic 5speed?

i have a 05 civic, 5 speed, and it's really gay how it is. so if anyone can help me, or any idea, because i do'nt wanna break anything. i've read the 04 auto lx DIY above, the sticky, but it doesn't make sense. i've also read the comment on the 04 5 speed person left, but it jsut doesn't seem to work.

i've currently:
unscrewed the center console, in the back, on both sides
center console, unscrewed the bottom of the center storage area
removed front clips, by the feet, the snap on ones

i read the 01 civic HU removal, so i broke off the peice that holds the cigarette lighter

unbolted the bolt that is shown when that is removed, that one that holds the headunit.

please help or give me tips, any pics would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. thx

there is that big peice of steel going through it
on top of that peice of steel, there is some kind of plasic or steel (i forgot)
push that up and towards you
its gonna be pretty hard, but push it hard, it will come off
the whole thing comes off (the ***** for the vents, vents and the HU itself)
there you have it.

ok, im having trouble now, taking out the headunit, it won't pop out. i unbolted the bolt/screw that is displayed in pic 9. is there any other ones? i've looked repeatedly for the 2 bolts, but i don't see. i see this one welded on. otherwise, do you just force it out? cuz i've been trying it, it doesn't seem to be working.

I have an '05 with a manual tranny as well and also had a hard time. I ended up losing one of the friction clips that holds the whole assembly in and now it sticks out about an 1/8" or so, not really that noticeable, but enough to be annoying. I also marked up my dash pad just a little bit when I was trying to pry it out with a screwdriver, hindsight is definitely 20/20, I wish I would have had a little more patience.....
