Making an Auto Sunroof?
Making an Auto Sunroof?
I tried lookin it up but didn't find much.
Anyone know if there is a way without changing the switch or without much modification to making your sunroof auto open. So holding the switch isnt necessary? On a Saturn you can simply take the spring out of the switch, just curious.

you could set up a relay to a timer, make it run for like 3 sec... just a thought, but good Idea, I may be taking apart my dash shortly, Ill take a look for ya...
thanks for the feedback so far guys, if you find anything def. let me know. Currently I am working on the headlights, I will be making a trip to the dealer to get my switches replaced.
I never understood why auto manufacturers don't make an all-off button. YOu know, a button you can push when you get out that would roll up your windows and sunroof, etc. For like, going into the mall. Anyway, I know the button has timed recoil in most cars so you don't have to return the button to the right position after the roof opens.

the timer is not only dangerous, but not an install that will last the life of the car.
over time, you may have noticed your windows take longer and longer to roll up, or get sloppy rolling down.
the DEI window modules are a bit more expensive, but they will guarantee your windows end up all the way up or all the way down (and this includes your moonroof).
I would hate to hit the arm button on my remote, or click the one touch button for my moon roof, then have to wait for the thing to close 90% after its aged and slower, then hit the button and hold it to close it the rest of the way.
readjust the timer? seriously, noone is gonna do that. no way. I promise you.
If it were my car, Id go for the relay modules. they make one way and two way models. a two way model per window/roof would give you one touch access to fully open and fully close every window in your car, including the moon roof.
