40 grit makes the least work. Personally, I prefer a wire brush on a drill. Works like a charm, less work, and much faster than the sandpaper. But yeah, 50 grit will work fine. Anywhere should carry it, walmart, hardwatre store, parts store, etc.

The problem I'm having is the shaved part rusting really fast, even with dielectric grease on em. It's really humid here tho so in dry places you should be fine. I just have to go in and sand off the rust every once in a while.

Well that's what the grease was for. But yes it will rust eventually. If you're in a dry climate, prolly not for years, if in a wet climate prolly weeks.

I suppose, walmart is just a place everywhere shouldhave. I've been to towns that didn't have hardware stores or automotive parts stores, but they had a walmart. You'll find them before finding anythi9ng else.
