What alarm to get now? please help if you got lcd pager alarm.

Hi i ordered viper 791xv off ebay and now the guy tells me its on back ordered and wont be in stock for 3 weeks. I just emailed him requesting refund. Now the problem i really want to get a alarm with lcd pager. Only reason i want one with pager is, so i can know if someone breaks in. If you have one please tell me what it is and how you like it. thank you.

I got the same alarm. I like it for when i'm at work just in case. You can never be to safe but there are ways around the paging. I suggest mounting the antenna somewhere other then your front window behind your mirror. But with the paging I have caught some people trying to look in my car but I also have a motion sensor.

^^^ i have the same exact alarm with a glass sensor in it too, and the remote start plugged in too. i love it, it has worked so far, and when they say 1/4mi they mean it, but you cant be inbetween too many walls.

you want a great price and have more feature than vipers? get autopage 855LCD for ~160 on ebay.

if you want the best technology and range go w/ compustar 2WSS, 2005 model. the previous model has delay in response, that gets annoying to some ppl.

the ivper is pretty good! install is pretty straight foward. THe range is excellent as long as you put the antenna top center of the windshield.

darklegacy540 is on a distinguished road
I have the Compustar 2WSSR alarm/remote start.. 1.25 mile range. Anti-Grind protection, temperature monitoring, glass sensor, motion sensor, proximity sensor, dual stage shock sensor, pin switch under the hood, powered trunk release with mercury sensor, ignition cut off, starter kill, fuel pump kill, window roll up/down (when I arm my alarm, my windows will roll up and I can put them up or down also with the remote).. highly recommended

thats on an open range, youll prolly get at least half of that distance on average case due to surroundings.

the 2wss version 2 has a better response but the rmoe still uses AA batt. i would go w/ the latest compustar model, 2wfm900-as.

hey dark legacy, you know all the source kills is just the same as having one kill, right?
i think you know this sicne youre a MECP 1st class cert. theres a better ign kill on civic, transponder.

temp sensor is only good for cold area like up North. iono why its good to have both motion and proximity, and where did you get the "motion" sensor? did you make it?

this wouldve been my set up.... simple but effective:
2wfm900-as, proximity sensor (am askin to get keyed), full alarm(all triggers), piezo in the cabin w/ backup batt, starter kill w/ antigrind.

I have been considering the CompuStar 2WSS-A. My question to modify this thread is where is the best place to buy online. Especially Compustar.

Yea I would like to know the same! Seems hard to find online and can only seem to find it on eBay, which I really don't want to do.

If you buy a Compustar anywhere online, Compustar will NOT warranty your product.

I don't care about warranty either. I'm just looking for the best alarm for a good price. I'll skip the warranty and do the install myself if it means getting an alarm that would be 599 for 250. I'm even bent on Compustar, I've just liked their products in the past and I'm not real familar with other good companies besides Viper.
