Temporary wiring ok for this???

Right now i have a 4 gauge wire ran with an 80 amp maxi fuse. i am getting a abahn a2200 with 120 amps worth of fuses on it soon. i already have a 4 channel tsunami that has 40 amps of fuses. I already have 0 gauge wire but no terminals, the terminals are costing me $82 shipped on ebay. so until i get those will the 4 gauge into a dist. to 2 8 gauges work temporarily, they would be like 3 foot runs of 8 gauge from the dist. block? i am thinking my 80 amp maxi fuse would blow? how many amps can 4 gauge hold? also if you knwo where to get terminals cheaper let me know.

Thanks,
Chris

If you don't turn it up too much, there won't be much to worry about anyhow. Terminals, as in something like this? http://www.cardomain.com/item/STISPBCOVZ

(2) stinger 0 gauge dual foot grounding terminals 13.00
(2) audiopipe dist. block, 1 or 2 0 gauge in, 3 4 gauge out 23.00
(2) audiopipe battery terminals, that accept 0, 4, dual 8 gauge 19.00
(1) audiopipe anl set screw 0 gauge fuse holder. 15.50
(4) audiopipe 0 gauge set screw ring terminals. 13.00
Shipping via Priority Mail 5.50
Total 87.00

This is all the terminals i need, this is from www.darvex.com so i can's run the 8 gauge i guess, so if you know anywhere to get all this cheaper let me know. this is also so i have enough ring terminals to do my chassis ground and engine ground

I believe the power of the fuse you use depends on how powerful the amp is. You dont use a certain fuse for a certain guage wire. Although, it sort of works a little bit that way. You need a smaller guage wire for a more powerful amp, and at the same time you need a larger fuse (which some stores sell one that have the amp wattage for each fuse).
