Pics - Amp Install
Just thought I would share the pics from the amplifier install I did in my 04 LX Sedan. Thanks to the other post in this forum explaining how to do this.
I installed an older 5 channel Clarion amp that drives the fronts, rears and a single 10" sub.
Some comments are included in each of the pics

MWeck, that is clean. I did the same thing thanks to the **** arseholes on this site. Without them I wouldn't have had the confidence, detail, or patience to even begin to take the car apart. Good post for it being your 1st.
Nifty. Three questions:
1. Why not MDF?
2. How did you secure the lower edge of the wood to the seat? I noticed the screws near the top, but not down below.
3. Does the wood rattle at all against the metal in the seat?

You should add these pics of your amp install to my "Post pics of your trunk" thread for everyone's future reference

lol its 1am and you know what i am going to go do the wire tie thingy since the board i have is a little loose. good call!
!
EDIT: MDF is a little too thick to put back there. As it is this small board, which used to be larger and cover the spare
, barely fits in there!

I would have posted lastnight but i fell asleep RIGHT after doing this!

I secured with 4 screws and 7 zip-ties. As for hiding the wiring I dont need to do that yet since I havent seen my amp in like 2 months. so I dont care if the wires are out like that.
Maybe Ill do the wiring...I dont know i am so tired righ now I didn't get alot of sleep!

Good idea with the twist ties, my piece of wood was able to move slightly. I didn't know what to do. I just took 2 mins and did the twist ties thing too. Now my piece of wood doesn't move at all.
Your setup doesn't look too bad with the wires hanging out like that, but it would look cleaner if your wires ran through the seats.
Its this a DIY yet??? if not, someone should make it a DIY.
