Need some brain power - In dash DVD

trying to install sick in dash DVD/MP3/VCD player and need some help. dmn thing won't play picture while in motion - must have parking brake enabled.
Anyone have any ideas about by-passing this fail safe?
I've tried wiring straight to ACC and about everywhere else I can think of? The two leads causing probs are the one that is supposed to be wired to backup terminal and 1 that is to be wired to the parking brake term?
Any thoughts!?!?!?

just ground the one that is supposed to be hooked up to the parking brake and you should be good to go...if that doesn't work, you should post make/model etc. so we can give you a definite answer...hope this helps...good luck!

If it's an alpine, I have a bypass for it.

It's a clarion. What's involved in the bypass? Is it something I can wire, or do I need to order?
Thnx for the help!

Prior to trying to ground it, I tried the accessory. Neither worked initially.
Problem has been solved - Parking brake lead needed its own stand alone ground - initial attempt was to splice into main ground. Stand alone ground solved the problem.
thanks to all for the input!
