Need help on finding an amp
Alright, currently I am in the process of ordering two Rockford Fosgate Punch 12" 1000 Watt Dual 2 Ohm Subwoofers. They have 500 RMS and im not quite sure what amp to get. I know im going to need an amp that pumps out atleast 1100 watts but Im not sure which to get. Please give all suggestions on the matter.

Hifonics Brutus BX1500D....1500 x 1 Mono Amp...comes with bass ****, subsonic filter, low pass filter, etc. Its the best bang for the buck...or get a Soundstream Tarantula.

Phoenix Gold also offers the Octane-R line, from which you could choose the 8.0:1 (800 watts rms @ 2 ohms) or the 15.0:1 (1500 watts rms @ 2 ohms). They are both very nice amps as well...

Seems like we have a few Brutus owners in da' house. I think I'mma buy me another one to push my other sub...right now I have my subs wired in parallel and my Hifonics is only pushin the RMS of each sub....I want to pound dammit!

From experience, we just melted a Fosgate T1 12 inch woofer with 1000 true RMS Watts. So the Punch series is only going to handle 500 RMS and that is it. Running more will only damage the woofer.
Any good amplifier meant for bass with 500 true RMS will do fine. Just make sure it is rated with the CEA 2006 Amplifier Power Standard, which is the true agreed, actual, no bs rating.
