What's wrong with my sub?

Okay this seems to be happening alot lately. In the colder weather, my 10 inch sub sounds like it's not even on at all (even when the bass boost is way up). Is there something where the sub needs to warm up first before playing good, or is it the layer of dynamat in the trunk (which is heat/cold sensitive). It's really annoying because normally the mirrors would be shaking in the heat.

Rx7_Fan has a little shameless behaviour in the past
this happens to my speakers as well. It sounds really bad when its cold outside, like around 6-7 am. Where's Ludam Theory, he would probably know

alex053 will become famous soon enough
temperature effects impedance as well as suround material, spider material and a number of other things. that and your subs suck.

What subs? Foam or rubber surround? Cold weather can effect the surround of the woofer but not usually drastically. Rubber especially is a wierd material because it actually expands slightly in cold and would cause the woofer to hit a little looser perhaps. Cold can also slow down the response a little bit on a foam surround.
