newb grounding question

newb grounding question

can i ground wiring to any old bolt as long as it screws into metal or can it not be a component of the car either (like all those bolts by the pulleys behind the driver headlight that i think is the AC but im a newb so i dont know lol)

any help would be appreciated

Generally it is recommended to keep the ground wire short. Attatch is to something close to the amp. Drill a hole if you have to. Just make sure it is bare metal, no paint etc. Use a dremel or sandpaper the hell out of it before you attatch the ground wire terminal.
