problem: rumbling bass

problem... i get a rumbling sound coming from my subs.... this happens sometimes when I play my music kinda low..... also happens when i turn my head-unit off.... my subs jess start rumbling for some reason....... oh yeah, also, before i had subs... i installed 6x9's... and after a while.. i do remember... the 6x9 would also rumble.... wahs wrong? connections? help me out guys.. thanks

if not that check the grounds on everything upgrade if u can. if u do have a low pass filter turn it down a hair it might stop it.

Generally its when you have a stock HU. It doesn't have a remote lead to tell the amp to shut on and off so you hook it to the ignition. Then when you have the car on, the amp is on. What the issue is, is when the car is on, therefor the amp is on, but you turn the HU off. Now the amp is still on but doesn't know what to play. Basically it just picks up electrical noise in the car and plays it. An aftermarket HU would make it go away mnost likely.

i have a kenwood headunit... excelon 5 somein, forgot..., i know mah headunit has some settings with that low pass filter stuff... ill check dat out
