6x9's with bass
6x9's with bass
I was planning on getting Kappa 692.5i 6x9's, but from reading some other threads, it seems infinity dont have much bass and since I'm not planning on getting subs, can someone recommend some 6x9's with a decent amount of bass for under $100?
I have a JVC LH300 head unit and I want 6000cs components for the front. I'm looking at a Lightning Audio B2.400.4 amp (75w x 4) unless there's some can think of something better for the price ($140 on ebay).
thanks

Yo son i put polk momo's 6x9's in the back and 6.5inchs in the front. They sound alsome coming out of a stock stereo with no amp. I am putting a apline type e 10inch and amp. And i will be putting a kenwood, stereo in it. But the Kappa's are really bad with low bass , so i would recomend something different
I read that the stock 6x9's are 30w rms, and the 6000cs i want for the front are 90w. if i leave the 6x9 stock should i get a 4 ch amp for all 4 speakers or just get a 2 ch amp for the components in the front and just run the rear off my deck (19w x 4)?
If you get an amp, you'll want to get a multichannel amp and hook it up to all four speakers, or else your front speakers will drown out your rear speakers, which will be underpowered and sound like crap when you turn the receiver up loud.
I have a 340 Watt Alpine amp hooked up to my fronts and rears and it can get plenty loud and sound great.

i would say just get a 2 channel amp around 100w rms. amping the backs is kinda worthless, they aren't gonna get significantly louder or cleaner sounding. but they will provide some bassy sound for your car.
you might even want to consider putting a low pass filter on the rears, at around 2.5kHz. this would basically just block the higher sounds from the rear speakers, improving your imaging. somebody can tell you what value and what type of electrical components you'll need, i forget which is which right now (inductors and capacitors) but someone surely knows...
