opinions on blaupunkt speakers
i bought blaupunkt speakers (pcxt series??- the cheapest ones) for my car.. 6" in front, 6x9" in the back. they suck. they cant handle bass for sh*t- especially the 6" ones in front- theyre constantly buzing- i have to go negative in bass so they wont buzz (and im positive its the speaker thats buzzing, not any body panel)! I was cheapo when i bought these- they were really cheap through crutchfield. and the numbers (specs) were impressive compared to more expensive speakers. and then i was sold when i saw the cool poly-blue clear plastic that theyre made of. but they reallly are weak. i thought it was my aiwa HU that was weak, its a 4x50 (no amp or sub); but my friend has a lower model aiwa- 4x45- and her system kicks! i think she has infinity speakers or jbl, i dunno they were black and white. does anyone here have these speakers (the crappy blaupunkts)? what does everyone think of blaupunkt speakers?
finally what i really wanna know is which speakers i should buy that have QUALITY sound- i want enough bass response so that i dont have to consider a sub; id rather not get that complicated . price doesnt matter(well, dont get crazy now), i value my sound quality a lot.
thanks

Holy You have spme problems.. for one..speakers don't buzz..2 your AIWA HU's internal amps are rated at like 12% distortion..The Speakers are not buzzing..it's eaither the spacers you used..the screws came loose or a body panel..The Blau Speakers aren't horribby bad..but they are far from great...I think your systems suffering froma combo of a poor install and cheap equipment..
Sorry bro.

that sounds about right, if you do go with some new speakers you're really gonna pay for what you get. Invest some serious money into it even if its only gonna be components and rears. Youre gonna be driving your car around and it should at least sound better than stock. Thats just my opinion though. If you don't have the money, save for componensts, then do the rears later and then whatever else you want.

Aiwa HU's are made with very low Production standards.. 12% distortion is VERY VERY high...Component speakers have a woofer a tweeter seperate as we all a crossover unit...Soeaker Spacers are just that. Spacers to mount your speakers further forward so that you can roll your window down all the way.

my friend bought an AIWA HU and it died after a couple days. She had it replaced by Best Buy where it was installed. I don't know how it is doing now, but I would never buy AIWA stuff. ick!
