Hey,
I can't make my mind about what to get! I see LED undercar kits made up of LEDs and I see some with the good old gas tubes. Which is better??!
Also, what's up with people cruising around with under car lights you can barely see! What do you recommend or suggest I stay away from?
Is LED a good idea?

Id say LED because #1...they're brighter in most cases and #2....they dont break as easily as the neon tubes do. I have the interior neons, and I have kicked and broken 3 tubes. I replaced it with an LED tube, hit it a few times, and its still shinin bright.
Varad LED is a good company, and I hear street glow came out with LED underbodies as well.
If I were you, id get the LEDs.

I say neons, cause that's what I have. Streetglow gold series are the brightest, and I've never had any tubes break yet. I drive on really rough roads. Plus with neons you get that glow effect.

It's the streetglow gold series neo blue underglow kit. Comes with transformer and four tubes. I got mine from CircaX groupbuy for $150. Just be sure the tubes are hidden or it'll look ghetto.
i really like that look from 2f2f with the neon coming from the front upper and lower grille areas; do you know what I mean? Do you know if those redline 9" neons are waterproof? I was thinking of two Ultrabright 9" neons mounted inbetween the upper and lower grilles. I think that would look niice. Also, what color neons would do well with a red car? Red?

Hey--red on red will look good. That or white. To make light shine through the front grill, just cut away some of the black plastic. Mex did that. Let's see if I can find a pic. Make sure that the neons you use are for exterior use. Not all are waterproof! Don't start a fire or something.
i was talkin about the upper grille too. I tried to get a picture of it, but it didnt work for some odd reason. Theres a really bright glow coming from the upper and lower grilles, like theres a tube inbetween them.

In the above picture, the upper grill lights up as well. He doesn't have the pic posted anymore, but it will shine up there. You can barely see it in the pic, but I've seen it and it lights up all around the H and everything. You could put a separate tube if you really want it bright, but it would have to be on a separate circuit.

I think the only neons that are waterproof are the ones that come in a kit. Those smaller ones usually say interior neons for indoor use only.
