Solobaric L5 or JL W6?
I am currently running a Solobaric L5 off of an Alpine MDR-500 Class D Amp. I want to upgrade to a cleaner sounding system and less boom. I stopped by the local shop and they said I should try the JL W6v2, because I was interested in the W7. What do you guys think? I am also interested in gaining more trunk space, my solobaric box is huge.

IMO the JLs rock. I love mine. I'd think it would be a much better sq woofer than the solobaric. ED seems well reguarded too. You might get more bang for the buck w/ them. JLs seem to cost a lot but I am never unhappy w/ any of their products. I have a set of JL XR components and a pair of w3 subs.

Go JL,
The XR650's rock in my LX sedan. CX out back and CS upfront. w6 in the trunk.
300/4 and a 500/1 in the trunk as well.
Had the speaker in the doors and now going to ge the kick pods for the next upgrade.
