something weird with my sound

i've benn driving for awhile with my system now and now something weird is going on. most of the time when i press my clutch pedal down my sound would just die out (but still playing though) and when i let go of it the sound would come back. i don't know what the cause of it is. anybody got a clue why it is like that. and there is no system wires that is going thru or near the clutch pedal.

Maybe the clutch pedal is pinching wires that are running under the carpet.

That was my thought. Do you have any wires going on the right side. My guess is an RCA causing it to lose signal.

it sounds like it's got to be something mechanical causing the problem. there is nothing in the electrical system that would cause it to do that, so it sounds like your only choice is to see what is physically happening when you push the clutch pedal.

try having the car in park with music playing and putting your head down there by the pedal. slowly push it in until you hear the sound cut out and see if you can narrow anything down

When you let go of the clutch are you also adding gas? Like when you change gears? If so it just sounds like typical engine whine. Check your grounds and location of rca's and all that, do a search on the forum here for engine whine and ground loop, stuff like that.

When's the last time you saw someone with a clutch that can put their car in park??????

Everything else he said was a good recommendation though.

another thought, where do you have your amp ground? I know somebody who had a system in their chrysler, and for some reason when they would let off the gas and stuff like that their sound would cut out and it ended up was that they had a very weak ground. I could be way off, but it made a difference for them.
