Auto-off headlights

2012 Civic owner: I cannot get the auto off headlights to woryk. According to the manual, the "AUTO" word must be set on the light switch when to time is set on the custimising window. My car does not have an "AUTO" setting. Am I missing something?

Re: Auto-off headlights

only certain trims came with that feature. if no auto switch, you dont have it. if you want time delay headlights you can buy and install a simple timer like the ELK-960 and set it to however long you want for them to stay on after turning the switch off. usually 30 seconds is recommended but you can do whatever you prefer.

Thanks. I figured it out. I only have auto-off lights. I do not have the premium auto lights.

I saw a 8th gen EX and the stalk said "auto" I assume that means full auto.

So your stalk does not say auto ?? And you have auto off ?? When do they go off ?? after shutting off ignition ? or once the drivers door is opened ?
