old alarm to new alarm

i have a clifford remote start alarm and now i want these new lcd type alarms. would i have to redo all the wiring to get the new alarm to work or can i keep the wiring and change certain parts around? i think i jus might have to buy the brain, the 2 remotes, and the receiver but i dunno if i can do that....

hmm, i just got the Viper790xv, and its the same as one of the clifford ones, just buy the LCD version, youll have to change the antenna part, and the brain. all the other plugs should fit the same, but go over the wiring and make sure everything is done properly (ie. dont cross polarities). the main harness to the alarm probably has a different configuration. It's just the accessories that'll be able to stay.

I just had the Viper790XV installed also. It's awsome. Everybody at work wants one now. I had a problem with it though. The shop said that DEI put out a batch of bad alarms and I got one of them. They pulled the entire system out and installed another one. I think it's well worth the money.

I ended up paying $575 including installation, but I also had the remote trunk popper installed so I could open the trunk from the remote.
