APC Super white bulbs

APC Super white bulbs
I just bought some APC Super white (50h4x) 100/90 watt bulbs from a friend. I noticed on the box it states a higher gauge harness is recommended. Do I really need one of these? If so were can I get one. I have looked around online with no luck. Also the box says "for off road use only" but I noticed others with these and I am pretty sure they are DOT approved. Can I use these (legally)? Thanks.

Rep Power: 0 Here's some wiring harnesses from AutoDynamic.com and PerformanceCenter.com. You do have a chance of melting your existing wires with a higher wattage bulb, but you have a higher chance of the bulbs blowing. I think as long as they shine white (and not blue) you should be fine with the cops.
