Engine Dressup
I've noticed that quite a few people have painted the spark cover thingy since no one really offers custom cover replacements for these yet. What kind of paint would you use to do this? I've considered painting mine but don't want to screw it up.
I think 7th gen owners got the short end of the stick here. My 98 didin't have that stupid, cheap piece of plastic there. Anyway....use brake caliper paint maybe or just regular enamel paint??? Any suggestions???
peace

Any high temp paint should work.
ALLMAN, used to make a metal covers for our cars. I think he charged $70 for it. I'm not sure if he is still making them.

I do not remember, I got it almost a year ago. I think that it was some company from TN. Just do a search on Google.. I can post a pic of it if you would like. The only down fall is it says V-Tech on it. And I do not have a V-Tech. It still looks good though

I painted my cover silver using barbecue grill spray paint. You can get stuff like that at Walmart, Kmart, or any parts store. Of course you want to take the cover off and clean it before painting.
