why not??? i got better responds, and also it's cheap if you compare with those CAI / FIPK2. I know it's not as good as the real CAI, but hey ........... it works, it use the same principal and the same place as the real CAI

Wait wait, so the reason this is ghetto is cuz if you buy a CAI from a company the pipe keeps the air cooler. Where as that plastic tube doesnt do anything to protect from heat resistance? And it could possibly leak air and not filter some air right? I know there is a reason people dont do this.

Actually the metal would heat up faster than plastic. . . that's why the true cold air intakes (not cool air intakes) are made of thick plastic.

This would work even better if you remove the resonator box and put longer flex tube straight to the filter box. Then a K&N drop in stock replacement filter. I had that setup for awhile and it worked great and got better gas mileage on trips.
