Front speakers
Hey I have Eclipse 6 1/2 front speakers and I wanted to know if you guys changed the stock wires with the ones they give you when you buy new speakers. Right now they don't sound as loud. But i tried it in my friends car they are louder. I don't know what to do should I change the wires?
Its a celebration bitches!

when i put in my front 6x9s they were toooo big, i have cut some of the metal off. but the holes where fine, the way to get your speakers louder is get a amp. a 4x300-400, it all matters on how loud you want it and what the speakers can handel.
some one please move this to I.C.E.

If your still using the factory HU you could get an EQ that has a wattage boost. The Kenwood EQ give you a 40w boost to all speakers and allows you to make better adjustments to sound. The EQ also can be turned off and on and doesnt drain that much power. you could slide one under the HU in the slot that way you could close the door and noone would ever see it. They are pretty cheap....from 30$ to 200$ depending on the brand. It is better then an amp because most 61/2 speakers can't handle that much power and an amp just makes it louder not raely much clearer. Thats just my opinion though.

edit: my 6.5's in my doors handle 150w rms, 300w max each.
