For those of you with Reverse Gauges...

I just wanted to know how long it took you to install your reverse gauges (the blue ones, right?)
Did you do it yourself, how easy was it to do.
I am trying to figure out if I am even going to attempt to try and install these things.
Since I have never even touched my car, always had my stuff done for me, not that self- confident.
Thanks.

Thats why we use double sided tape to keep the needles from sticking...

Yep...double-sided tape is key!!

Mine took me about an hour since it was one of my first mods. If I had to do it again...I'm guessing like 20-30 mins. I think the most time is actually sticking the guages on, 'cause you wanna make sure the markings line up with your stock guages. And also filing a little bit of the plastic to accomodate the wires.

I used the DIY on the site and it was very helpful...good luck.

Double sided tape will take care of any problems you could have in that regard.

Mine took about 45 min to an hour to install..

eye candy for your viewing pleasure...

just go to home depo or some place like that and they will hook you up. They sell the little patches or the roll of tape now too!

Mine took about two hours. But at least one and a half was used to get that damn dash trim piece out. Seriously, though if this is your first time, expect at least an hour mininum. Also you have to take your time cutting down the black and red wire and hooking it up. Honestly, I think the person who said 10 min is bullshit.

I used the "snot" tape. It was really easy, took me 1 1/2 hours. I could do it in less than half the time now.

One really good tip is to buy "Tap-In Squeeze Connectors" from Radio Shack. That way it looks a lot cleaner than just splicing and you don't have to worry about anything.
