Looking for a solution. My son purchased a 2015 Honda Civic DX. The car came without a Key fob or electric door locks. This would be satisfactory if it was a 2 door model, but this car has 4 doors. Quite the pain to "walk about" the car ever night and ensure they are locked, especially after he has had friends in the car. HAD WE KNOWN at the time, we would have upgraded his car to the LX model for like $20.00/month more for this option and more. VERY disappointed in the dealership.

This is his FIRST car and he loves my 2007 Civic EX 2door. Is there a solution? Does Honda still run the same wiring to all the doors for all models. Is it a matter of just installing the servo's and doing it? Is there a KIT to do an upgrade?

How is this the dealerships fault or responsibility? They sold you what you wanted to buy.

It's a Civic. You should be able to reach all the doors from the drivers seat fairly easy, no need to walk around the car.
Hell just lean back and look for the red mark on the lock buttons that shows it's unlocked.

The harness inside the doors should not be prewired to easily equip it with power locks, and I bet the rest of the car is not either.
