Hey,

I'm debating if I should purchase a 4dr gauge cluster for my 2 dr 2001 honda civic ex, all specs match except for this. Will everything go smoothly or are the "open door light" going to be on constantly or are the connector inputs different? Thanks.

I know that this is in the other parts forum... No other forums are open so bear with me!

should be a direct swap so long as you get an 01-02 ex 4dr cluster. except you will have green backlight instead of orange. the 03-05 clusters with LEDS will work too but require repinning the connectors. theres a thread here that shows how and its not too hard.

there will be no complications installing a 4dr cluster into a 2dr car? its specifications are identical otherwise

nope, there is no door ajar light that i know of. just the backlight will be different. and if you get the 01-02 lx cluster it will not have the abs light. also there are auto and manual clusters. they will both work, but the auto will have a strip for the gears like P R N D.
