check engine light and brake light

i got a quick question, my check engine light is on in the car and occasionally the brake light comes on when i'm driving. the brake light comes on and goes off on its own, but it seems to go away when i take all pressure off the gas pedal. does anyone have any idea why this is? or if its my alternator going bad?

Re: check engine light and brake light

Brake light --- Check the level brake fluid under the hood, Move the parking brake lever around and see if that makes the light appear.

Check Engine Light --- Get the code read at an auto parts store that offers the service for free.

Re: check engine light and brake light

and if the brake fluid is low, look at, or have someone look at your brakes, they're most likely low.
