Review on NEX SUSPENSION???
I have this setup, and i love it!!! It is the best modification that i have done to my car yet. They were a little expensive, but in this hobby, you pay for what you get. Not only can you adjust your height, but also more importantly you can adjust the tension of the spring, so yu can have a soft ride, or a harsh one. That probably why some people have complaints...because their springs are set too tight. If you have the money, go with this system...you wont be disappointed!!

Who needs NEX?
Koni's do the same thing NoBottleJustThrottle. You can adjust the tension of the springs. Then with the Koni's just drop in some Skunk2 or Ground Controll coilvers, and you can adjust your ride heigth! It's cheaper, and probably just as good if not better!

Are you sure the Nex suspension can adjust rebound and dampning??? I know the Koni can, but I think what your trying to say is that the NEX has the ability to adjust the height without affecting the shock travel. In that sense, you can adjust the shock travel, so therefore you can sort of affect the spring tension I guess. I'm no sure, but that's the one thing i like about them too, but it isn't the same as adjustable dampning. Another thing, how's your toe adjustment? I know you can fix your camber with a camber kit, but I heard the Nex gives a messed up toe alignment that can not be adjusted. Some one on this forum even said there Nex system broke, so wanted to know if there was a warranty on it. Last thing is that right now the nex kit is cheaper than getting ground controls and konis because on group buy, it's only for 830 shipped. and that's with no tax for california residence b/c the person selling it is from washington.
Everyone is askin about the camber of this setup...so here it is. Ive said this a few times, but its all good, i know that there is consern. If you put the NEX coilovers on your car there will be a major camber correction need. Well i should say major, its not that bad. I bought an Eibach camber kit for $25, and i had it installed, then had aligned the next day, and now my car is as good as new. I have the readout of the allignment to prove it. I called NEX about a warranty, they dont have anything on paper, but they told me if i ever have a problem to just let them know and they will take care of me. Really nice people over there.
About all the adjustments that can be made with this setup. You know the difference in the actual setup of this kit over the GC kit. The major difference is when you lower your car with the GC's, you arent lowering the center of gravity, just the car. GC's are great for show because you can adjust them higher, or lower than the NEX setup. But if performance is what you are after then the NEX setup is good, because this will actually lower the center of gravity on the car. Atleast that is how it was explained to me.

it is race proven that full coil over setups, like nex or tein, out perform any coilover or spring in combination with a strut.

Well, then they explained it wrong. Whenever you lower a car you lower it's center of gravity. A car's center of gravity is the point where the car is the heaviest. If you could take a needle and balance the car on it, then that point is the center of gravity. You'de have to do that in both directions though. By balancing the car on it's side too. Then find the point of intersection and that is the center of gravity. So, it doesn't matter what you do. Lowering the car lowers it's center of gravity.

That might be true. I'm not sure why that would be the case though? I know that the GC threaded sleeve might not fit tightly against aftermarket shocks. This could cause extra vibration and looseness. I'm not sure what role the diameter of the springs plays in this either? I would need to read up on springs in general to get an idea. The NEX suspension has springs that are smaller in diameter when looking at them from the top than the GC coilovers, right? I'm wondering what this means exactky?
Re: Review on NEX SUSPENSION???
i have to agree with u no bottle just throttle. i have the NEX setup in my 03 civic and it drives BEAUTIFUL... i have the low mean agressive stance ( because my car is slammed ) along with a comfortable ride but i have a little problem... My passenger side is stiffer then my driver side and i dont know how to adjust the driver side to be a little stiffer...
