Read through that it explains about a mil elimintator thingy that you install to trick your ECU

^the check engine light, oil indicator and/or the maintaence required indicators will turn on if its motor related issues.
you need an mil elminator in order to lose that malfunction indicator lamp (yellow figure). its on because your secondary o2 sensor isnt reading the right amount of air pushing thruout your exhaust's system. theirs no way you can get rid of that light "naturally" with a hi flow cat or going catless.
as for the damage, its not causing any and its just their to tick you off. but i would suggest investing into a mil eliminator, their are many choices such as www.bigjoshracing.com www.casperselectronics.com and such.

caspers electronics is junk and it not supposed to work on testpipe. I have it and it don't work. I call them up and they said is supposely work for real high flow cat not test pipe or no cat.

the check engine light will come on with not having o2 sensors connected and it will come on if you have no cat. Megan racing is just a downpipe with resonator. You can get a o2 simulator which will shut the light off, but your o2 sensor will not be sending info to the ECU about exhaust temp and oxygen levels to optimize air/fuel ratio. Basically your car will be running on inputs from the ECU instead of inputs from the o2 sensor to the ECU. The ECU will decide what is the best air/fuel mixture to throw in. Best bet would be to get rid of that and go back to stock or get a real cat converter.
