Header question
i am fixing to get a random tech Hi-flow cat along with a catback exhaust... after that i plan on gettin a header, but not sure which to get since i am not familar with headers. should i get a 4-1 or a 4-2-1 header or whatever it is.

i been doing header research too for my auto coupe. the ones i know that they make for our 7thgens so far are:
1) dc sports 4-1
2) hp header 4-2-1? <--- not sure
3) obx <---- not sure on this either
4) kamakazie*
5) Megan
im sure theirs more but i havent paid full attention to headers.
now from what i've heard, dc sports 4-1 is crap becuz its pretty much similar to the OEM ones. i heard good stories about kamakazie.

if you're fixed on getting the random tech,
only the short 4-1 headers are your option.
no 4-2-1 unless its custom for our car.. not enough space.
your options are: ceramic and stainless
DC 4-1,
OBX 4-1 (DC style but cheaper)
there's about two-three different generic style I believe. one thats along what Megan distributes (asian one), HP distribute.. and then there's one that Top Speed distributes.. I believe they bend and merge differently, from what I've seen in the pics.
the kamikaze 4-1 is also another option.. I dont remember but their version might be the same as the one that Top Speed distributes.
its hard to distinguish some of these apart..
as some retailers claim its HP or OBX or whatever.. and they send whatever thats available to them. or these distributors sometimes distributes different headers and give them all the same name.
I'll suggest though, getting one without an o2 bung in it.. since u have an EX and dont need it.. some ex header have an o2 sensor hole in it.. even though we dont need it.. I guess they think people with dx/lx will try and make it fit..
