LED Power Window Button *Pics*
well, i finally decided to try putting some LEDs in the car to replace the stock bulbs. i started with the power window switch that lights up "AUTO". At first i used 3 resistors and i couldnt even see any light, then i tried two and it was too green and not blue, then one and it was also too gree, and i finally used no resistors and it came out a perfect blue. now that i know how easy that it is to do this, i plan on replacing all the rest of the bulbs i have condoms on and putting some LEDs in there. Here is a picture of the blue LED in place. let me know what you think.
alright because i cant make out that picture, can you please tell me what you are talking about???? I am currently taking a physics class and we just learned about resistors in my class. What i learned about resistors were that they were needed to slow down current to allow more power to be build up around curvatures. However for some odd reason i dont understand what you are speaking about when you talk about resistors can you please explain

you know the switch for the drivers side power window? you know how it lights up a color for the AUTO? well, i replaced the bulb for that that made the "AUTO" light up orange with an LED that lit up blue. i was using resistors because this LED is designed to be used under conditions of 3.7v, whereas the car delivers between 12-14v and the resistors were supposed to reduce the voltage to the LED. i later found out that since the previous orange bulb in there was an LED there already was a resistor built into the chip and that is why i didnt need any of the ones i used. do you understand this?
i understand a little better now, so what you are saying is that you are now able to change all the led lights including the ones behind the dash blue???? by using LEDS????? hey can you change the air conditioner leds also??? hey once you complete this task please tell me which lights work the best i dont want to burn out my circuits

you can chance every single bulb including the ones behind the gauges and center console. there is a DIY for it somewhere. if you follow it correctly you wont burn any circuits.

u need to have resistors on the center dash... The center dash has little bulbs (i dont think they were LEDs), I dont remember :P anyways, check my ride, there is a link under the description to the DIY
