umm i dunno about smog tests.. cause i think they hook up a sensor of some sort to the exhaust and see how much fuel is left or something like that

No, a simulator just tricks the ECU into thinking everything is ok, it has nothing to do with a smog check. BUT if your motor is turbo charged then it will burn cleaner anyway, everything burns so hot it is more likely to pass than non-turbo. BUT it will not pass visual unless you have a legal kit. BUT if you got an extra 100bux to drop, just bribe the guy doing the testing =)
