Topspeed CAI
Not stock anymore doggie dawgs!! Yesterday I went to a tuner shop to drop of my civic to get some some "Super High Technology" installed. An hour after I leave, they call and tell me that these are a cheap brand and the Peices Of Sh*t don't even fit!
So I called the place who sold me em' and i'm gettin refunded so its all good. But when I was there I asked about the AEM V2 and if they can order me on, but on display they had a Topspeed CAI which they said is $145 w/ labor. They took me to this website where they dyno'd the V2 and the Topspeed and on average hp, the V2 only got 2 more ponies. And I really don't think 2 hp is worth $160 dollars. But the intake works great, I don't feel a loss in low end at all, it sounds great, and you can hear when your Vtec activates a whole lot better, it gave my car a kinda little buzzing Vtec sound, so it kinda sounds like a P**sy Integra Type R
I highly recommend this intake for somebody who is lookin for one. Sounds great, looks good, and it is a true cold air, you'll know what I mean once you get passed 50mph

one of the tuner shops around here told me that topspeed is cheap because they are all knockoffs of name brands... instead of being made in asia there made in america. The Topspeed CAI is a knock-off of aem CAI. There short shift adapter is a knock-off of neuspeed. THere headers are the HP-headers... here's a warning though stay away from there h4 bulbs.. there bright but give them a month or 2 and they'll bust... for me im to lazy to take aprt my housing to clean it up.
yeah, why do all the generic brands knock off the AEM CAI???
why hasn't anybody replicated the injen one for autos. what about us cheapos who don't want to spend ~200 bucks for the injen rd intake...
ebay companies need to start copying the injen cai.....
umm, yeah, that's my complaint

Great feeling indeed white EX. I'm gonna call those guys up and get links to that site. My rev is deeper but not by a lot, but when your driving or when you punch it, it sounds a whole lot better. Mine use to have a little high pitch rev, now its deeper. And this intake isn't all about sound either, now I can actually FEEL when the Vtec kicks in right around 4500rpm. My low end isn't as sluggish as it use to be, neither is my 3rd gear. One of the mechanics told me that my CAI should work better with an exhaust system also, I really don't know why so I can't explain.
Yes, according to them the V2 got more hp (2 more hp) but I really don't think 2hp is worth $150 bucks. I'm not knockin' the V2 at all though because it probally is a better intake, and eventually I may get one, but I'm satisfied with the one I've got, and you can feel the gain in hp, especially in Mid-High range torque. Even a little bit in low end.
