Jet ECU - Bought it...

I have the HKS type 1 turbo timer, that has HARDWIRED speed and rpm readouts. should I have gone by that? Only thing I can compare to is... My 0-100km time was 6.52sec, I dropped it to a 6.13. Same everything else, just the ECU added. My acceleration did improve, if this thing is such a waste of money why is it that the two people on this topic that bought it is satisfied with the product and recommending it to people? I posted this as a positive review for most bolt on people. Some of you should ease up, yes Jet DOES NOT get the most potential out of your car but it was cost effective, quick, and easy for me. I still recommend this to anyone. I pull better coming off tolls, I drive much stronger on the highway, and I have no noticeable loss of fuel economy. BTW - you can't run any higher than a 35shot of nitrous, due to the 5 degree advancement of the ignition timing.

Holy **** you have a 6.13 0-60 time? Is that with nitrous?
Anyway, if it increased your 0-60 time that much that's got to be at least some horsepower. Any guesses people? (those of you who can estimate stuff like that).
Cool.

cost effective??
i don't exactly know how much the rates are per hour for dynotuning but lets say its about $125 per hour (i pulled the rate off of this site http://www.kennedysdynotune.com/ and click on "chassis dyno tuning")... and for 3-4 hours thats around $375-$500...
i dunno about you guys but i would spend the extra couple hundreds to get the all out 100% MAXIMUM potential out of my car...
or I would use the $200-$300 that was about to be used on a JET flash on some other engine mod...
quick??
lets say you drive out on your day off work about 1 hour (maybe the nearest dyno place is 60 miles away) sit and watch the experts work 3-4 hours and drive 1 hour back...
or take out your ecu with a downtime of 2-3 days? (maybe longer if you don't ship your ecu out express or priority) and you have the risk of your ecu being lost or damaged during shipping
you decide whats quick...
but yes, the JET flash SHOULD make a noticable difference, ... i'm not putting down JET or anything and i personally think they are one of the best "guessers" out there which is why you can and should feel the difference...
but
it definitely isn't the best way to program the ecu...

Yeah. . I'm confused about it too. . Explain the process differently. Do you send your OEM ECU to Jet, have them mess with it and mail it back? Or do they send you a whole new ECU? Or do they just send the chip? Or do they send you a whole new ECU with the jet chip in it?
you send your OEM ECU to Jet, have them mess with it and mail it back
with the mods u have listed on the paper they gave you. and they will program it into it!

. But for people with gtech's it's cheaper to do it that way.
