Aceleration Problem when engine start

Hello....
I have a Honda civic 2015 (almost new, 1700 miles).
I'm noticing that when engine starts (engine cold) the acceleration ups to 2500 rpm and then down to 2000 rpm)it keeps at 2000 for almost a minute an then slow down to the normal value 700 rpm...
If i stop the engine and again try to start, the acceleration ups to 1500 rpm and immediately slows down to 1000 rpm and take a couple of seconds to normalize to 700 rmp... I thought at the beginning ( i really don't remember) even with the engine cold the acceleration was 700 rpm all the time.
I don't know if this is a problem... another think, I'm noticing that i need to accelerate a little bit more gain speed, is a little difference and I'm really not sure, but I'm feel the car is losing performance.
Is there someone with the same issue? I can bring the car to a dealer but I'm a really busy person and I need to know if every thing is ok ( is a normal behavior) or not before go to the dealer...
(I'm really new with cars, this civic is my first car)
Regards.

Likely normal, the 9ths blaze pretty well on a cold start, (blue dash light on) but drop down pretty quickly also.

Re: Aceleration Problem when engine start

Sounds perfectly normal to me so far.

The car does not use a regular automatic transmission.
It's a CVT, and it can act rather 'different' from what most people think an automatic transmission should be doing. You'll get used to it.

You've got tons of time before warranty runs out to figure out if there's a problem.

Go back to the dealer and test drive a couple other identical new cars to see if they act the same as yours.
