Possible Transmission Problem

I have a manual '06 LX Civic with 210k miles. Recently, there has been a whirring sound whenever the clutch is disengaged. The sound is most noticeable in first gear and gets quieter as I go up in gears, with 5 being the quietest. The sound is noticeable with neutral engaged as well. If I push the clutch in, the sound stops. Take the clutch out and the sound starts up again. What could this be and how could I check without taking my car apart first?

Some more useful information:
  • The clutch was replaced about 10k miles ago
  • I think the sound started before the clutch was changed, although it was quieter.
  • The engine sounds fine when revved when the clutch is engaged.

Lastly, if it is the transmission, where can buy a new transmission, or at least a very lightly used one? I can do the change myself.

Thank you for the help.
