Radio/clock powerless
Radio/clock powerless
I have a 2001 civic. About a month ago the radio/clock lost all power. I tested my alternator, found it was overcharging (18-19 amps). I checked the fuses and both look good.... any other suggestions? Is there an in-line fuse behind the radio??

Re: Radio/clock powerless
The alternator may have blown something, get that replaced ASAP. Used junkyard is better than a new parts store one. It can eventually fry the ecu. Aftermarket stereo? Did you connect the orange illumination wire that you're not supposed to?

Thanks for the direction.... I have checked every fuse under the dash and hood, and none are burnt out.... my key reminder doesn’t chime when I put the key in. Not sure if that’s connected at all

If you look through the wiring diagrams you can see what fuse that circuit is on and double check that fuae
Re: Radio/clock powerless
You can also pull the radio out and start checking for power, ground, and ignition in the connector. That will tell you what's missing and where to start looking.
