cd player memory wire not working

cd player memory wire not working

okay for some god forsaken reason my head unit will not power up unless i hook the power wires(yellow) and memory wires(red) all together therefore my head unit has no memory......if i hook them together seperatly like they are supposed to be it doesnt work...any suggestions?

well.. the memory wire should go to the constant 12v wire. memory wire and power wire should be the same wire.
the other wire - red - SHOULD be the ignition wire.. it tells the radio to turn on when the car turns on

that should do it

Figure out which wire doesn't have power. Constant or accessory.

Then find out why it doesn't have power. Most likely reason: blown fuse.
