Engine light question.

2000 Civic ex. Vtec. Engine light is on. Blinks and car shakes when I accelerate. Also, when I hit the gas and accelerate, I hear a knock coming from underneath the car

Sounds like a misfire.

Read the check engine light codes, so we can pinpoint the problem.
