So where do I start?
Hello friends!
I've had my civic for about 3 years now, and figured, since I'm clearly keeping her, I should probably start making her my own. She's all stock, and needs body work, but before I do that, I want to make her mechanically sound, maybe a little more pickup, and a smoother ride.
She's my DD and I don't need her to be fancy, but more practical.

Re: So where do I start?
ok so u want to start with sound proofing
FatMat is a cheap way to do this and costs half as much as Dynamat so u can use 2 full layers around the full shell.
Also u can use high density foam around the full shell.
while your shell is empty either fully clean the seats or source some integra seats.
fully deep clean the carpet kit and any carpet interior panels.
go to Walmart and pick up a full audio system (amp, subs, speakers, audio deck, stereo install kit, wiring) (this is a good upgrade for a comfy dd)
do a b16a swap (3.5k about) and BAR it (comfy dd with a little more hp)
turbo (if u want) (it's 4k for a legal turbo kit) (to build engine (which you would need to) its probably 2k)
get dry ice, LA's totally awesome and fully clean the shell)
NRG wheel and hub adapter if u want
black metallic paint job
coilovers
viper alarm system
custom KTeller 3" exhaust with 2 vibrant resonators and a apexi ws2 muffler
weathertech floormats and cargo liner
NRG Billet weighted ebrake handle
BLOX Racing shift ****
NRG Pedals
just a few things lol
about 10k if u want to do EVERYTHING on this list properly
you could get a comfy dd with FatMat, sound system, alarm, shift ****, steering wheel, integra seat set and paint job for probably 2k if u do it right.

Re: So where do I start?
what is your budget and power goals?
If you want more power, go out and find a b series swap, preferably an LS, gsr or type R depending on how much you want to spend.
An LS (B18a or B18b) is the cheapest on to start with, and will give you much more power and torque with just the simple swap.
