DIY Heat Shield

Hi there, new to the forums and automotive in general.

I recently bought an AEM SRI (Short Ram) and after ordering it I learned it will in fact give me worse fuel economy if I didn't add other additions to my SRI.

Any ideas for a heat shield or maybe some tubing to ram more cold air in?

Thanks.

I own a 1994 Civic Si

Re: DIY Heat Shield

heat shields usually do more harm than good. and we are talking one or two hp if that from the intake, nothing you will even feel. instead look for ways to get more air into the engine bay like with a mesh type grill. and mpg should go up, since warmer air from the sri will cause the ecu to inject less fuel as a result.
