Left the lights on... battery died

I bought a used 95 Honda Civic and not sure if this car has a feature that it would emit a sound if you forgot the lights after removing the key.

I have a Honda Passport (99) and I got used to the beep/sound reminder whenever I leave the lights on.

I was wondering if this 95 civic has the same thing. If it does then mine is probably broken.

Thanks!

Good question- I wish I had the answer for you, but I got an 01 and it gives the tone alert.

I think on most of the 5th Gen it was a dealer option. I just installed one on my 94 DX. Very easy to do.
I didn't want an annoying buzzer so I used this part.

It sounds like a doorbell and isn't overly loud. Has a nice tone but you will notice it.

I wired it to the 4 & 5 tabs on the fuse box and ran a ground wire to the door switch. I just hooked to the connector, basically I pulled the connector apart, stripped 1/4" on my wire, put it through the hole on the metal tab and reinserted into the connector. Very simple. Now the chime only works when the door is open.
Ir was a simple install, no splicing into stock wiring, just extending the wires on the chime.

I followed this DIY Headlight Warning Chime

you have to make your own. cars that come with a beeper usually have it integrated in the gauge cluster.
