The door popper fob for my 2000 Honda Civic is gone the key fob fell off somewhere without me knowing. How do I fix not being able to open my door? Is there some type of universal fob? Can I buy another door popper kit and uninstall the old one and install the new one? Is there a way to rig something with an emergency door popper kit? Please any help would be awesome.

So the door handles are shaved?
there's supposed to be an emergency button somewhere.
typically installed on the underside of the car near the doors.

Thank you for the info unfortunately mine doesn't have a button underneath but I did find my key fob at a gas station now my question is can you buy 1 that will work if it has the same serial number?

what kind of fob is it? post a picture?
it will have to be programmed, which you can probably do yourself if you can find the instructions

this is the key fob. it just quit working completely. I changed battery and it didn't help. I seen a guy on YouTube put tin foil inside the key fob where the buttons are and that didn't work. now I'm going to try to locate the box for the door popper but I don't really know where to start.

box meaning control box/module?
check in the kick panels or in the dash, if you see wiring that looks non-factory try tracing it back.
If you can find the module you can get a model number off it, then you can probably download the instruction manual and possibly order a new fob.
if you can find a model number on that fob you can try searching that and seeing what you come up with.
I'm wondering if they used a remote start module and used the door unlock output signal to activate the door popper

thanks for the reply. I've searched the info on the key fob and found another I could get but the manufacturer of the replacement key fob needs the info off of the module. so I'm going try tracing the wiring. i haven't found the wiring yet. I'm not sure how it's ran but nothing on this car looks to be done very smoothly.

Can you see the antenna? It's usually mounted up high on the windshield, or down at the bottom of the windshield on the dash. If you can find that you can follow that wire to the module

I bought the car off my cousin and he happened to have an extra key fob so I'm back to getting into my car again but I still haven't been able to find that antenna. I would still like to find out where that box is in case I ever need another key fob. So the search continues on

the module will look something like the box in the middle, the antenna should look like the black thing on the left.
if you pull the lower dash cover and the kick panel off and start looking around with a flashlight you should see it or see the spliced wires
