Civic 4 door, key won't unlock doors

Dumb question- are you using the correct key?
If so, I'd say something has loosend inside the door- but that still doesnt make sence.

yes it is the right key. It starts the car and turns both
ways in the door key cylinders.
I am going to try to pop the door cover off and see if one of the rods fell off from the key cylinder to the actuator.
It just seems strange that both of them would go out at the same time??
