Compatible wire harness

I was just wondering if anyone knew for sure if every honda civic no matter the trim comes with a floor wiring harness. There is a myth that they always put them in and then just add the other accessories and their wiring harnesses depending on the trim?

Yes, every car has a floor wiring harness.

They are not 'one size fits all'.
There are like 50 different choices depending on body style, year, trim and equipment.

Honda civic 6th gen. Floor wiring harness

I was just wondering whether anyone knew how to remove the floor wiring harness off of any honda civic 1996-2000 sedan or of a place with instructions? Any help would highly be appreciated

Re: Honda civic 6th gen. Floor wiring harness

Start at one area and remove everything in the way as you follow the harness around the car?

Seats and carpet usually have to come out as sections of the harness run side to side under the front seats.

Compatible wire harnesses

I was wondering if a 1997 honda civic lx door wiring harness is compatible with a 1999 honda civic lx floor wiring harness without having to modify them in anyway or with some modifications or not at all? And if I do have to modify them can you tell me how and what has to be modified? Thanks for any help

Re: Compatible wire harness

If you want a straight swap you have to get one from an identical car.

Then you will discover that used harness is just as old as your old one.....
and just as bad as your bad one.
If it's not already as bad, it will be in a short time.

I have now consolidated all the threads you started that are basically the same.

So are they compatible with eachother since they are the same generation of civic?
The answer is now in this thread.
