Who has the most miles on their automatic?
OK, so I have 225,000 miles on my '99 Civic DX with the automatic transmission. Mostly highway. So far so good.
Who has the most miles on their automatic Civic? I know about million mile joe, I assume he had a manual. I looked a bit at Honda's million mile club but a lot of the member descriptions don't give the transmission type.

Just off the top of my head I can think of one customer that had an 04 with a quarter million miles on the original auto trans, mostly highway, minimal maintenance. 10-15k per oil change. No idea on servicing the trans, but I can bet it got minimal attention too.
She traded it for a 10 when it needed a cat.
Most of the other high mile (300k+) Civics I see have manual trans.

Strangely, I'm getting better gas mileage now than when it has less than 100,000 miles.

My 2003 ex automatic has 217,000 miles. Engine runs like new , tanny starting to hang alittle going into 2nd and 3rd. Anyone have any have any good fluid to improve tranny ? I tried the dump refill thing twice. My just have to milk throttle to 300,000 miles.

Play it safe just use Genuine DW1. Drain fill every 20K-30K for max longevity
