I mite be gettin a Si
I NEED A PRICE ESTIMATE!!
Sup, my sister wants a new car and she drives 99 civic DX sedan auto wit a few dingd and 34k miles. She loves my car and wants to trade cars but only if I get the 99/00 Si after trade in wit her 99 DX... And I was thinking how much it would be for a roughly 40 thousand mile 2000 Civic Si be?
I went to the Honda Dealership and they had 2 Si and told me this:
00 Black Si 35k miles 19,095.00
00 BLue Si 41k miles 19,095.00
He said the blue is the trademark SI color so even tho theres a 6k miles difference it's same price. Both in pretty good condition, no real noticable scracthes.... He said this was jsu retail asking price not real price.
All u number wizzzes.... 99 Civic DX wit some dings n dents that are farily noticable, 34 thousand miles, new brakes couple weeks old, automatic, sedan, runs very well, it has optional honda AM/FM/CD player. How much would u ask for the trade in and the car itself if u were in my shoes....Thanks a lot!

The Electron Blue Pearl (also found on the newer preludes) may be a signature color for the Si's which is true cause you can't find another model Civic in that color. I don't think it's a justifiable reason for (since it's got 6k more miles than the black one) the dealer to jack the price up! If you want the blue one, bargain with him.
for either car, with that many miles regardless of the paint, thats way too much! thats practically the price that they sold them for 2 years ago off of the showroom floor! i dont care what condition those cars are in...get that price down if ur gonna buy one.
You should look elsewhere, such as from people selling it in classifieds. Dealers will rip you off on used cars.

yea thats way too much you can get modified preludes let alone modded Civics for 15 on ebay...dealers will try to get you on the Si cuz they know what we'll do to em...I paid way less just to get an EX and drop the B16A2 into it..good luck man

yeah, the 99-00 Si came out at an MSRP for around 17,500... but its funny how they're more expensive used now. (on the dealer lot anyway)
dont pay over 18, thats for sure. Try to get one privately... the dealer is gonna try to throw in an extra grand or two.

That is WAY too much. Pass those up. Out of factory warranty for that much - first time you VTEC it and blow a motor = anothr $5K + 19K for the car = 2K2 RSX-S.

FYI...19K is way too much for an SI. I bought my 99 Si...in 1999 for $16,700. You really wanna know what its worth? Check the blue book value online. The dealer prolly didnt give whomever traded it in more than 13k for it. So be smart, make sure you know the value, and check the blue book. That's your best bet. 19K is way too much for an SI. Like I said, I paid 16,700 for a brand new one, 0 miles. DO YOUR RESEARCH. Check the blue book. Print it out. I'm sure you will find that the car is not worth that much. damn ur gettin royally screweed. the only reason he is jacking up the price like that is because they are rare and are no longer made but if i were u for that price i would get a different car. maybe the new si??? or maybe a civic competitor.
